This talented violinist here tries to cook up a pop pastiche and ends up making a real mess. A dash of new age, a slab of electronic dance and a pinch of classical make for an unappealing paella. Though her chutzpah is admirable, covering material by poet Robert Burns and disco queen Donna Summer, it doesn't justify the end result. - Tim Sheridan
