Simon Baker (Ozric Tentacles)
During the early part of Ozric Tentacles' career the band were playing many a free festival, and it was generally accepted that if someone could play their instrument well, then they could get up on the stage and jam along. This subsequently led to quite a few strange gigs, with the band being joined on stage by trumpet players, sax players, didgeridoo's etc. The MOST bizarre occasion though. had to be when a man got up on stage with his pet dog (a jack russell) under his arm. The man positioned the dog near the microphone and then preceded to squeeze the dog's belly, at which the poor animal would make a strange yelping sound!
This, as you can imagine, was one of the most bizarre Ozric tracks ever heard!!
Then there was the time a heavily pregnant women asked the band if she could give birth onstage, but that's another story......!
