AMG EXPERT REVIEW: Duality essentially picks up where Mirror Pool ended, offering a set of ethereal, neo-gothic worldbeat that's quite similar to Lisa Gerrard's work with Dead Can Dance. However, the presence of collaborator Pieter Bourke helps the album considerably, as he pushes her in new electronic directions that add another intriguing layer to the music. Duality still suffers from self-consciousness and occasionally meandering material, but the moments that do work are startlingly fresh and darkly gorgeous. — Stephen Thomas Erlewine
